Making a difference in our own small part of the world.

Vantage Deluxe World Travel is a proud sponsor of the Lewis Foundation, a charitable organization seeking to make a difference in the lives of children. Co-founded by Vantage Chief Executive Officer Henry Lewis, the Lewis Foundation supports organizations that provide safe havens, skills training, and intervention for teens at risk.

In the past few years, the Lewis Foundation has raised approximately $5.5 million to benefit the West End House Boys and Girls Club of Allston, Massachusetts. The West End House has been providing support, hope, and opportunity to young people in the Boston area since 1906.

The West End House Boys and Girls Club is an award-winning social and recreational facility that has helped over 1,500 youth each year (before its expansion). With programs that range from sports leagues, swimming lessons, tutoring, arts and crafts, climbing, and more, the West End House provides a safe and appealing alternative to the streets for countless individuals. The children of this Club are from all walks of life - representing different races, ages, and family situations. For these children, the facilities and programs of the West End House are often an oasis of stability, security, and new possibilities.

Vantage greatly appreciates any contributions to The West End House from our travellers and extended family. Donations can be made on-line by going to www.westendhouse.org/.

The Lewis Foundation

As a child growing up in the Boston area, Vantage CEO and Lewis Foundation Cofounder Henry Lewis was one of the many children who enjoyed the benefits of the West End House. In order to give back to the community, he helped establish the Lewis Foundation in memory of his father, Edward Lewis, and close friend, Michael Gordon. The Foundation has successfully helped the West End House continue its mission to "inspire and enable youth from all backgrounds to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens."

The Lewis Foundation - along with its sponsor, Vantage Deluxe World Travel - is proud to have raised approximately $5.5 million for the expansion and improvement of West End House facilities. In 2002, the Club opened the new Lewis Gordon Building - a 38,000 square foot facility accommodating 2,000 children and 250 adult members on a full-time basis. The building helps meet the expanding needs of the Club and the community by providing a larger learning center, a new technology lab, a new teen center, upgraded pool and gymnasium, and much more. In addition, the new Lewis Gordon Building features a kids' café - a facility that provides free hot meals daily to children who are not afforded the luxury of three square meals at home.

This project has received unanimous support from the Allston community and from the City of Boston. Vantage is proud to support this project and the children of the West End House. It's just one way that Vantage is working to make our community, and our world, a better place.
