ms Nordnorge
Hurtigruten

More Details

Specially designed for cruising coastal islands and smaller passage ways, the small, highly maneuverable m/s Nordnorge is the perfect vessel for exploring Antarctica. You’ll enjoy a private cabin and a host of shipboard amenities as you cruise “up close” to penguin colonies, through spectacular channels and passageways, past glaciers, and among remote islands.

The cabins have two lower berths, private bath with shower, radio, and phone. The m/s Nordnorge is decorated in an Art Noveau and Art Deco style, and features works of Norwegian artists Johanne Marie Hansen-Korne, Ellen Lenvik, and Dagfinn Bakke. The ship is also equipped with a dining room and lounges featuring panoramic views, a fitness center, sauna, Jacuzzi and more.

The ship sails with their own fleets of PolarCirkel landing vessels for shore excursions with the ship’s naturalists. And, unlike most Antarctica cruise ships, you’ll board the PolarCirkel boats from a special “step-on, step-off” platform at water level. Hurtigruten is a member of IAATO (International Association of Antarctic Tour Operators) and is limited to just 350 passengers for Antarctica sailings.
