Please note that hotel ratings are based on the Hotel and Travel Index (www.hotelandtravelindex.com), a leading travel industry authority on hotels throughout the world.

NOTE: Iceland’s hotels are basic and comfortable, particularly in rural regions. Several hotels selected on this tour are not yet rated by the Hotel & Travel Index but have been personally selected and inspected by Vantage personnel. Some hotels may be substituted with similar accommodations.

Hotel Kulusuk is used only on the optional Greenland pre-extension.



Radisson Blu Saga Hotel

Reykjavík, Iceland  

Nestled in the heart of Reykjavik, the Superior First-Class Radisson Blu Saga Hotel offers excellent service and stunning views of the city and its surroundings from each of the rooms. With a history of hospitality stretching back more than 40 years, Radisson Blu Saga Hotel is a modern hotel based on the timeless traditions of quality, service and excellence. The Grill Restaurant on the eighth floor is renowned for its cuisine, while the all-day dining Garden Restaurant Skrudur serves a popular light lunch buffet. Located in a quiet area, the hotel is just ten minutes away from the city center, galleries, shops and museums.
Each of the 209 guest rooms offer a view over the city and its surroundings. Guests have access to the Spa with its health and beauty treatment offerings. Rooms are equipped with amenities expected of a four-star hotel including High-Speed and Wireless (WiFi) Internet Access, satellite and pay TV, a mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities.

 

Hotel Stykkisholmur

Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Iceland  

The Hotel Stykkisholmur is located adjacent to the town’s community hall, a popular venue for gatherings such as plays, shows, concerts, and dancing with live music. The hotel features a restaurant and friendly bar. Guest rooms have a TV, phone, and private bath with hair dryer. Please note that the Hotel Stykkisholmur offers the best levels of comfort and service in the area, but is a simple, rural hotel.

Hotel Kea Akureyri

Akureyri, Iceland  

Located in the heart of Akureyri, gateway to the rich natural splendors of northeast Iceland, Hotel Kea has been welcoming guests since 1944 with the same high standards of quality, service and comfort that has come
to be expected of one of Iceland’s most established hotels. Located at the end of the main down town shopping street, the hotel’s 73 bedrooms have private bathrooms, coffee and tea making facilities and satellite television, and telephone with international direct dial.

Hotel Selfoss

Selfoss, Iceland  

The Moderate First-Class Hotel Selfoss is located in the friendly community of Selfoss, 35 miles from Reykjavík. The hotel is within easy reach of some of Iceland’s most wonderful spots for enjoying the sheer beauty of nature and exploring the country’s ancient past. The hotel features a restaurant, bar, café, and conference facilities. Guest rooms have a TV, telephone, safe, minibar, and private bath with hair dryer.

Hotel Kulusuk

Kulusuk, Greenland  

Conveniently located near the airport, the Hotel Kulusuk offers comfortable and modest accommodations with great views of the sea, East Greenland’s coastal mountains, and the world’s largest glacier. Hotel facilities include a spacious restaurant (with panoramic views), bar, souvenir shop, currency exchange, and information services. The hotel also offers guests a full-range of excursions to local glaciers and mountains. All 32 guest rooms have private bath, TV, and telephone. Rooms are not equipped with hair dryers but these are available upon request.
