Hammerfest / Havoysund / Honningsvag / Kjollefjord
As you cruise along Norway’s northernmost region, you’ll call at quiet
fishing villages and bustling ports, including Havoysund and
Honningsvag, the capital of North Cape. The town was destroyed by
German bombs during World War II except for the church, because, it was
said, the German commandant enjoyed the organ music!

Kirkenes / Vardo / Batsfjord / Berlevag
Early on Day 10, arrive at Kirkenes, land of Sami and reindeer, your
turnaround point. Just a few miles from the Russian border, this remote
town was a tense border area during the Cold War. As we head south,
you’ll find a completely different cruise unfolds; you’ll make daylight
calls at ports passed in the night on the northbound trip. A visit to
tiny Vardo is a case in point.

Ornes / Nesna / Sandnessjoen / Bronnoysund / Rorvi
After leaving Ornes, we sail through narrow straits bordered by lush farm fields. Crossing southward over the Arctic
Circle, you’ll call at Sandnessjoen, the island port that is connected
to the mainland by an impressive new cable bridge. You’ll be able to

Trondheim / Kristiansund / Alesund
Trondheim, Norway’s third-largest city, is a lively university town
of colorful buildings and broad streets. Almost the entire city was
rebuilt in the 17th century after a devestating fire. During your visit, consider seeing Norway’s
largest medieval church, Nidaros Cathedral, and the restored
Archbishop’s Residence. Next cruise through beautiful Trondheimsfjord
to Kristiansund.
