You’ll stop in historic Moscenice with its panoramic views of the Riviera and nearby islands. You’ll also visit a local church and the Ethnography Museum. Your tour culminates with a drive to Lovran, the Riviera’s poshest, and best known summer resort. Disembarking in Opatija, driving to Opatija by coach and getting off in front of the hotel.

Postojna Caves Tour

Morning Tour — Day 14
Postojna is famous as the site of Europe’s largest stalactite caves. Your tour will begin with a small train ride down deep into the caves, followed by a guided walking tour. This cave system is the unique habitat, and the only home in the world for the “human fish,” so called because of the color of its skin. It’s also the habitat for the Drobnoratnik Beetle, the cave’s first underground inhabitant, discovered in 1831, as well as the Proteus Anguineus, a type of blind salamander. You’re sure to be fascinated by this mysterious underground world — four million years old, and visited by over 30 million people!
