“Flight of Angels” Over Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, Day 7
Coined by David Livingstone when he first documented discovering the Falls — “A sight so wonderful that angels must have gazed down on it in flight” — the “Flight of Angels” is the most popular of the helicopter flight options. Lifting off less than two miles from the Victoria Falls town center, the “Flight of Angels” is a 12-15-minute flight over the exquisite Victoria Falls. You will fly a complete circuit over the Falls in both directions, giving you the best views possible. A quick trip up river and back over the Zambezi National Park completes your flight. Approximate Time: 15 min.
Cost: $130 USD per person

Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi River
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, Day 5
Although the enormous torrents are what Victoria Falls is renowned for, the broad Zambezi River above the falls is a scenic wonder that should not be overlooked. Join us on this special sunset cruise and you’ll board a sightseeing boat to explore among the multiple channels and jungle islands that dot the wide river, which flows through nearly unspoiled forest. As the sun sets over the jungle, your on-board guide will help point out birds and wildlife along the rivers edge, including egrets, hippos, and even elephants. This is an experience you won’t want to miss! Approximate Time: 3 hours
Cost: $59 USD per person
You will have time to do both of these optional tours if you choose.

Golden Africa (2007)
Evening Tour, Including Dinner Day 10
Leaving the hotel in the late afternoon, you’ll travel by motorcoach to the Gold of Africa Museum inside the Martin Melk House, which dates back to the late 1700s and serves as one of the finest examples of Old Cape Town architecture. Upon arrival, you’ll be offered a Welcome Drink — a glass of wine sprinkled with flakes of gold leaf — before touring the permanent collection of exhibits. Then you’ll browse the museum’s unique collection of sub-Saharan treasure, learning about the legends, the rituals and of the ancient gold-rich African kingdoms. You’ll see a goldsmith hard at work on his craft in the museum’s state-of-the-art workshop and have an opportunity to visit the Museum Store. Here, you’ll find exclusive items not found elsewhere in South Africa as well as CDs, books, Kente cloth, and jewelry, of course, some of which is inspired by the museum collection and some that is created in the museum’s own workshops. After the museum visit, you’ll reboard the coach for a short ride to the Africa Café for an “African Communal Dinner” — a meal of around 16 traditional dishes from around Africa, served and shared in a family style, just like the locals.
Approximate Time: 4 hours
Cost: $79 USD per person

On this optional tour, you’ll stop at the University of Stellenbosch for free time and lunch on your own before continuing on through the wine country to the home of Pierre Jourdan and Haute Cabriére wines, situated on the banks of the Franschoek River.
