The visa for Zimbabwe can be purchased on arrival at the time of the border crossing. U.S. citizens must purchase a multiple entry visa. At the time of publication, the cost of the visa is $45 USD. Canadian citizens must purchase two visas. Cost is $65 USD per visa. Please note that even though U.S. or Canadian citizens do not require a visa for South Africa, your passport will be stamped for each entry and exit. The South African Immigration Authorities and the Zimbabwean authorities require two blank, side by side pages in your passport for this purpose. Please note that your visa is only valid 90 days from the date of issue.

Should the above requirements change, you will be notified in a mailing prior to departure. Vaccination Notes [top]

Vaccinations are not mandatory for your tour at the present time, but it is highly recommended that you check with your personal physician to verify your particular needs. In addition, persons who are travelling to malaria risk areas such as Kruger National Park, South Africa, and Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, can almost always prevent this potentially deadly disease if they correctly take an effective antimalarial drug and follow measures to prevent mosquito bites. Some things that travellers can use to protect themselves include malaria pills, insect repellent, long-sleeved clothing, bednet, and flying insect spray. For more information on health related issues while travelling overseas, contact the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) by logging onto www.cdc.gov/travel/ or or calling toll free 1 (800) 232-4636.
