Please Note: Because you can expect warm temperatures for your walks through the Amazon rain forest, we strongly recommend you bring lightweight long sleeve clothing and a small backpack, fanny pack, or shorts with extra pockets, as well as a hat, rain jacket, socks (to tuck your pants legs into), comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, sunglasses, and sunscreen. You might consider purchasing the insect repellent Permethrin® from an outdoors store to treat your clothing before you depart on your trip.

A passport is required for this trip. Your passport must be valid for at least six months after the scheduled return date of your vacation. Bring with you a photocopy of the pages of your passport that contain your personal information and extra passport photographs. These are useful in the event of loss.

Please Note: Due to heightened security measures, passengers arriving into Brazil may go through intensive security checks that include the taking of photographs and/or fingerprints. U.S. citizens can expect delays - up to several hours - when entering Brazil either by air or land.

Iguassu Falls Pre-Extension Passengers: You will land in Sao Paulo after your flight from the US and be transferred to the Sao Paulo Marriott Airport hotel for breakfast and the use of a dayroom. Due to security measures, it will be necessary to claim your luggage when you arrive and pass through customs. Your luggage will go with you to the hotel, then be checked back in for your flight to Iguassu Falls.

The Brazilian Ministry of Health is advising travellers going to regions at risk for yellow fever to be vaccinated against the disease. Iguassu, Brasilia, and Manaus are included in the advisory.
