PACING: 5 destinations in 14 nights with 3-night stays in three destinations (Budva, Dubrovnik & Opatija) and 2-night stays in two destinations (Zagreb & Sibenik), plus a 1-night stay in Zagreb on the last night before returning home. Some transfers are long, but include sightseeing and rest stops. There is one internal flight during your tour, when transferring from Zagreb to Montenegro. Please note that you will fly from Zagreb to Dubrovnik (approx.1 hour), then motorcoach from the Dubrovnik airport to your hotel in Montenegro (approx. 2 1/2 hours).

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: Sightseeing is on air-conditioned coaches with guides and there are many walking tours through historic city centers. Steps are to be expected, as well as occasional steep and/or uneven terrain. A boat ride is included in Krka Falls National Park on calm waters and steps are required to board the boat. CULTURAL FOCUS: This is an opportunity to experience one of Europe’s most interesting emerging areas. Focus is on the history and culture of an ancient, very diverse area of Europe, settled by the people of the Mediterranean, the Aegean, Italy, and Central Europe. In Croatia, Montenegro, and Slovenia you’ll enjoy a variety of cuisines, music, and customs while meeting some of the people who can trace their heritage back a thousand years.

SPECIAL FACTORS: Temperatures are at their highest
in July and August, sometimes reaching the mid-90s along the southern coast and may be too warm for some travellers. Conversely, the coolest months for travelling are February, March & November.
