This trip was a trip of a life time. Everything was perfect. After ten trips, you get to know that things can go wrong. The group was fairly good to be with. As always when you have so many people, you get different personalities.

I think what made the trip so good was our Tour Guide, Nacho. Nacho went out of his way to assist all of us. I needed to ask him something, and within one minute he got back to me and solved my issue.

His lectures on sea days were very informative and enjoyed them all. It was a good way for the group to feel like a group. On a ship it much different than when you travel by coach. Nacho ran around on the landings to take pictures of us and of the wildlife for us. What a great thing to do. His photos are better than mine.

The only issue way the days in Buenos Aires. It was a very late flight back to the states. I know that transportation in BA can be an issue. I understand why we needed to get there early. If the two big groups could have been split up so we could have gone to the airport a little later would have been great. Like I said to some of the other Vantage travelers; we need to sit somewhere, so why not here at the airport. The day we get back to BA, we went to the Delta Tigre. Why could we not fly home that day?

Wow, what a journey! The penguins walked right up to us and said, "Take us home with you."

Our guide Nacho took very good care of us and found lots of ways for us to win "prizes" on the ship. Everywhere we met friendly people, as well as the friendly penguins. Only downside was the Drake Passage-recommend the highest possible mal de mer protection. It was great to meet Nacho's family, another interaction with the locals.

A wonderful trip. Buenos Aires was very enjoyable. Starting with Ushuaia and through Antarctica and South Georgia Island, the scenery was incredibly beautiful. Add to that lots of penguins, seals, albatrosses and petrels, experienced guides and lecturers from Hurtigruten and you have the experience of a lifetime.

To us the Program Manager's job is the client's most important relationship with Vantage - the Program Manager brings the trip to life and insures the best positive result for the client and Vantage.

"Nacho" really did a great job in insuring a great result for our recent adventure to the Antarctica!! It began when he contacted us ahead of the trip to make sure everything was in order, confirmed our plans, responded with requested recommendations, and made sure we were comfortable with our arrangements - this was especially significant since we were flying to Buenos Aires two days ahead of the scheduled tour. His attention to detail and the safety of all through out the trip was exceptional. He consistently communicated with us so we knew what to expect and had us ready - that can be a real challenge with a group of individuals.

The Vantage group was 29 individuals out of a total of 215 passengers on the ship. It was very obvious that Nacho represented us well and has an excellent relationship with the Hurtigruten Expedition Team and Crew. His relationship created a very positive result.

The trip required more physical capabilities than any of the other seven trips we have taken with Vantage. Nacho did an excellent job meeting the needs of all - very impressive. In fact, his positive relationship with the Expedition Team significantly helped many of the Vantage customers meet their wishes and desires.

In our eight trips with Vantage two Program Managers stand out as great. One is Nacho and the other is Kelly Lee on our China trip. Bottom line; Nacho is a role model of what a Program Manager should be. It was a pleasure to travel with him and he is a great representative and ambassador for Vantage

Dear Nacho,

This is a brief note to express our appreciation for your never ceasing efforts to make our Antarctic trip a resounding success. You were constantly available to address our questions and needs. Your presentations were precisely on the mark and prepared us well for upcoming events; we were a lot smarter, thanks to you. You made it most enjoyable and the group fully recognized it was result of your work ethic.

I have one suggestion for your consideration: revert back to Vantage name tags. I think it would hasten the group socialization process and compensate for flagging geriatric memories.

While the FRAM bridge tour was very enjoyable, a demonstration of how the individual components are integrated into the bridge system to achieve positive ship control would be most interesting.

Again, many thanks for your efforts to make it enjoyable.

Best regards,
Bill & Fran
