Biking in Bagan
You can travel as the Burmese do, get a little bit of exercise, and enjoy a whole lot of fun when you explore Bagan by bike. The roads are flat and lead between the villages and many temple sites, making for great scenery along the way. (Heat and dust can be a concern, as some paths are not paved and sandy.) There are many outlets in town where bikes can be rented for as little as $2 a day. Some even offer electric bikes (E-bikes) for the ultimate in ease. See the sample bike map below, and ask your Cruise Director to point you in the right direction.
