Activities & Entertainment
This trip is rated Easy
This tour will visit some high elevation areas, which may cause some people to experience mild fatigue. Some travelers may find it confining to be aboard the VIA Rail train for three days/nights and should plan for the trip by bringing reading materials or other activities. Please note that with train travel, unexpected delays can occur due to the weather and traffic.
Go Biking in Canada
During your time in Vancouver you can avail yourself of the many bike paths, greenways, and trails that make this one of the best (and prettiest) places to cycle in the Pacific Northwest. The Stanley Park Seawall is a great place to start – a meandering, car-free, paved path that skirts the waterfront and passes by Lost Lagoon, the Stanley Totem Poles, Lion’s Gate Bridge, and more. In Toronto, the Martin Goodman Trail (part of the Waterfront Trail redevelopment effort) is the place to go, a series of asphalt trails and boardwalks running along Lake Ontario, dotted with pavilions, beaches, and cafes.
Ask your Tour Director about the best places to rent bikes, and enjoy the day!
