Bergen is the bustling capital of Norway’s fjord district. Centuries ago, the city thrived as a trading center between northern Scandinavia and the rest of Europe. After breakfast, enjoy an informative briefing about your trip. On this morning’s included city tour, you’ll stroll the Bryggen Wharf area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your sightseeing also includes a panoramic tour this pleasant, red-roofed city, as well as a visit to Troldhaugen, the lovely summer home of Edvard Grieg, Norway’s most beloved composer. Following your tour, you’ll have the afternoon to enjoy Bergen on your own. If you like, your Program Manager will be happy to suggest options for sightseeing, shopping, and dining.
