Cruising the Inside Passage

With its nearly impenetrable coastal mountain ranges and an economy based on fishing and logging, it’s almost a given that the towns of Southeast Alaska would grow up along the water. In fact, many towns, even today, can only be reached by sea or air — including Juneau, the state capital! As you cruise the protected waters of the Inside Passage — which stretch 1,000 miles from Skagway to British Columbia — you’ll see cascading waterfalls, virgin forests, glacier-carved fjords, and perhaps even whales and seals, all with the commentary of your onboard naturalist.
