When you arrive in Paris after an overnight flight, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel, the Superior First Class Le Meridien Montparnasse, your base for the next three nights.

Paris

Today set off on a panoramic city tour of Paris, stopping to visit to a local market. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure before gathering in the evening for your Welcome dinner, “A Taste of Paris,” at a local Brasserie.

Paris

Another day at leisure is yours to savor the delights of the "City of Light." Those who wish may join an optional Cordon Bleu Cooking Lesson or a Moulin Rouge dinner and show.

Paris / Breisach, Switzerland

Following a buffet breakfast at your hotel, bid "adieu" to Paris and embark on a scenic train ride to Strasbourg.  Continue on to Breisach, Switzerland, where your deluxe river cruise ship, the ms River Navigator awaits. Tonight you’ll have your first of many meals from the ship's exquisite menu, designed exclusively for this harvest-time river cruise. In addition, each meal will be accompanied by the perfect wine, selected by your prestigious shipboard wine expert.

Basel, Switzerland

You’ll have your choice of two tours in Basel, either a walking tour or a visit to the Beyeler Museum in Riehen. Your second day in Basel you’ll set out on a full-day excursion into the Swiss Alps. You’ll get acquainted with Lucerne, the famous resort boasting snow-capped Alps, shimmering ice-blue lakes, covered bridges, and quaint cobblestone streets. If you like, ascend Mount Pilatus on an optional tour — for incomparable alpine views. This evening gather on board for the Captain's welcome party & dinner.

Basel (Lucerne)

Today set off on a full-day excursion to Lucerne, Switzerland. There you'll enjoy a boat ride on stunning Lake Lucerne with optional cable car ride up Mt. Pilatus. Your Program Manager will give you "lunch money" to spend during your free time in Lucerne.

Breisach, Germany

After arriving in Breisach, set off on a visit to Colmar, France, a delightful Alsatian market town picturesquely set amidst vine-cloaked foothills. Enjoy the mini-train ride around Colmar!

Cultural Connection: Enjoy a cuckoo clock making demonstration onboard ship this afternoon. Then this evening, dine on fine Alsatian cuisine at the Château Isenbourg in Rouffach, located along the famed Alsace Route du Vin.

Strasbourg

Picturesque Strasbourg is the cultural capital of the French region of Alsace, celebrated for its exceptional gastronomic tradition. You’ll set out on a tour by canal boat and foot showcasing the ultra-modern European Union Parliament; the quaint shops and canals of “La Petite France,” the city’s famous old town; and the Tanner’s Quarter, brimming with cheery, Tudor-style architecture.

Greffern /Baden-Baden, Germany

From Greffern, you’ll set out on excursion to the famous spa-town of Baden-Baden, where you’ll see the historic gaming halls, sip the healing waters of the Trinkhalle (spa), and visit the famous Lichtenhaler Allee Casino. Then you’ll be treated to lunch and a kitchen tour at the celebrated Kurhaus restaurant.

Speyer, Germany

Speyer is home to the Imperial Cathedral of Speyer — one of the oldest and most important cathedrals in Germany. Constructed between 1030 and 1061, this Romanesque edifice stands on a foundation shaped like a Latin cross, as you will see on your tour. Cultural Connection: Later, enjoy an informative onboard lecture by Liselotte von der Pfalz, and entertainment by a local a cappella group.

Rudesheim, Germany

Listen to the tale of the Lorelei as you cruise past cliffs and castles en route to Rüdesheim, a perfect Rhine Valley wine town with winding lanes and cozy houses. Here you’ll be treated to a wine tasting at Vollrads Castle, set amid vineyards that produce celebrated Rheingau Rieslings.

Bernkastel-Kues, Germany

Stroll right from your ship into the heart Bernkastel-Kues, a twin city joined by a bridge across the Moselle. While here, you’ll enjoy an included walking tour that takes in the lively market square and its fountain that flows with wine during the annual wine festival. After touring the Wine Museum, enjoy a sampling of the vintages at a winetasting.

Trier, Germany

Your morning tour highlights Trier’s incredible Roman remains. Cultural Connection: Later, you’ll visit a local restaurant and learn how centuries-old Roman recipes were prepared using ancient cooking techniques and sample a few dishes. In addition to cuisine, the Romans left behind a great wine legacy as well — some vines in this region were planted 2,000 years ago, yet they still bear fruit.

Cochem, Germany

Awake in the heart of the Moselle Valley wine country, now turned golden in the fall, and famous for delicious Rieslings. You’ll disembark in Cochem, laced with narrow alleys, dotted with quaint houses, and encircled by an ancient wall. You’ll visit the Reichsburg — towers and turrets make it the epitome of a fairytale medieval castle. Cultural Connection: Back on board, a local vintner will lead a tasting of Moselle wines.

Cologne, Germany

Tour Cologne by mini-train en route to the famous Chocolate Museum where you’ll view exhibits illustrating the history and process of creating chocolate confections, and take a sip from a chocolate fountain. In the evening, gather to toast your newfound friends at the Captain’s Farewell Party & Dinner.

Cologne / Disembark Ship / Frankfurt, Germany / Return Home

After breakfast, you'll disembark the ship and transfer to Frankfurt for your return flight home.
