Buenos Aires
Following a buffet breakfast, enjoy a tour of Argentina’s largest city.
You’ll see beautiful downtown, the colorful district of La Boca, and
Recoleta, the trendy neighborhood that features the mausoleum-dotted
cemetery where Evita Peron is buried. Following lunch on your own, you
will have the afternoon at leisure to explore this romantic city, often
referred to as “The Paris of South America.” Have dinner on your own or
dine while enjoying an optional tango show.

Buenos Aires / Bariloche, Argentina
After breakfast, you will leave for Bariloche, which lies on the shore
of Lake Nahuel Huapi. You’ll have lunch on your own, followed by a
scenic panoramic tour of the city to see Swiss-influenced architecture, trees, beaches, and this striking lake. The tour takes you on a chair lift ride to the top of Mount Campanario for a view of the city and along the LLao LLao Peninsulaand Lake Escondido. Cultural Connection: Enjoy dinner at Cerveceria
Blest, a small brewery where you will hear a talk on the traditional
beers brewed here.

Bariloche
Today, you’ll explore the scenic city of Bariloche, starting with a
walking tour of the city center in the morning, including a trip to the
Museo de la Patagonia. Enjoy lunch on your own and an afternoon tour to
charming Villa la Angostura, a typical Alpine village. Cultural
Connection: Stop by an estancia, or ranch, where you will witness the
inner workings of a sheep farm. Dinner and drinks will be served here.

Bariloche / Lake Crossing / Peulla, Chile
This morning, you will transfer to Puerto Pañuelo for your crossing of
Nahuel Huapi Lake through the majestic Andes aboard a comfortable
catamaran. Your crossing, which offers views of the surrounding
mountains and shores, will take you to Puerto Blest and the Cantaros
Cascade, where you will stop and enjoy lunch on your own and leisure
time. Then, take a scenic bus trip to Puerto Alegre and sail the deep
green waters of Frias Lake. Continue on to Peulla, Chile, to the heart
of Vincente Pérez Rosales National Park. Then, spend the night in a
lodge setting with dinner.

Peulla / Lake Crossing / Puerto Montt, Chile
You will have free time this morning to explore Peulla, alive with exotic vegetation. You can view waterfalls, forests,
streams, and birds in this ecological village. You can also take part
in one of the many outdoor activities offered in the area, such as
horseback riding, birdwatching, or visiting a local farm. After lunch
on your own, you will continue your lake crossing, travelling across
the waters of the Todos Los Santos lake. Here, you can view Mount
Puntiagudo and the Osorno Volcano. You will arrive in Petrohue this
evening, where you will take a bus ride through Vincente Perez Rosales
National Park before reaching Puerto Montt. You’ll embark the
all-inclusive M/V Skorpios II for your Welcome Cocktail and Dinner.

Depart Puerto Montt / Crossing the Corcovado Gulf
Your Northern Patagonia cruise awaits ... depart Puerto Montt and begin
the spectacluar cruise portion of your trip aboard the M/V Skorpios II.
Two English-speaking onboard naturalists will guide your shore
excursions. Your cruise includes meals, local drinks, and Chilean
wines, and an outside cabin a with panoramic window. Today, you’ll view
the seaside city of Calbuco and the Ancud Gulf with a featured crossing
of the Corcovado Gulf at midnight!

Cruising the Patagonian Fjords
For the next five days, you’ll navigate the waters off the coast of Chile while viewing crystal glaciers, the icy blue ocean, and tranquil canals and archipelagos.
(Day 9) Puerto Aguirre: Cruise the Moraleda and Ferronave Canals to
Puerto Aguirre. Cultural Connection: Local children will meet you in
port and escort you through their friendly isolated fisherman’s
village. Then sail to Puerto Lepardes to dock.
(Day 10) San Rafael Glacier: Cut through the San Rafael Bay and drop
anchor about a mile from this massive glacier, where there will be a
motorboat tour around the area. This majestic relic of the planet’s
last glaciation rises with multi-colored towers to a height of over 70
meters. Hear a naturalist talk, then set sail for Quiltralco Fjord.
(Day 11) Quiltralco Fjord: Anchor at Quiltralco dock, where you can
take thermal baths in 90-degree waters and view the snow-covered
mountains of this fjord. Enjoy a barbecue before cruising to the island
of Chiloé.
(Day 12) Queilen / Castro City: Cruise the Leucayec Canal, where you
can view the island of Melinka, a former refuge for pirates. Cross the
Corcovado Gulf and stop in rustic Queilen before the Yal Channel and
Castro City.
(Day 13) Castro City: Spend the morning in Castro City, where you can
visit the local markets or the museum and walk along the picturesque
streets. Then, embark ship and cruise back toward Puerto Montt. Enjoy
your last night onboard with the Captain’s Farewell Dinner.

Puerto Montt / Santiago, Chile
As your cruise ends, you will anchor at the Tenglo Terminal dock and
see Puerto Varas and the German settlement of Frutillar on a panoramic
ride. You’ll have free time to visit the German Heritage Museum.
Cultural Connection: See a rodeo demonstration and learn about Chilean
horses at Ranch Fundo Olguita. Then fly to Santiago and check in to the
hotel. Dinner is on your own.

Santiago
Your first day in exciting Santiago includes a morning tour of the
city. You’ll visit downtown, Cousino Palace, and the famous Alameda,
Santiago’s colorful main avenue, before walking through the city
center, which includes Central Market. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure to
acquaint yourself with Santiago. Lunch and dinner are on your own.

Santiago
Today, take a tour to Los Dominicos Handicraft Market, where you’ll
have time to shop and have lunch on your own. Your afternoon is at
leisure with the “Santiago by Night” tour to San Cristobal Hill.
Cultural Connection: Learn about empanadas, a traditional Chilean meat
pie, as well as the popular pisco sour cocktail. Celebrate your trip
with a Farewell Dinner this evening.

Santiago
Today is yours free to finish exploring Santiago. You can visit one of
the many parks, universities, sports venues, or museums. Or, you can
take an optional tour to Vina del Mar and the UNESCO city of
Valparaiso. Lunch and dinner are on your own. Return to the hotel this
evening before going to the airport to depart for the U.S.
