Add our exciting extension to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. On your
transfer from Budapest, you’ll stop for an included lunch at beautiful
Lake Balaton. Known as “The Hungarian Sea,” this is the largest lake in
Central Europe and a favorite vacation spot. The warm, silky green
water is believed to have healing qualities.
You’ll get acquainted
with Zagreb on an included walking and motorcoach tour. You’ll be
intrigued by the opulence and beauty of the many classic hotels and
government buildings located along the historic Esplanade. As you
stroll through the pedestrian-only Old Town, you will encounter a wide
range of activity — and electric street cars.
And, you won’t want
to miss our optional full-day excursion to Plitvice Lakes National
Park, preserved as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With 92 waterfalls and
16 turquoise lakes, the park is a small paradise.
