Boston-based Vantage Deluxe World Travel, a world-renowned tour operator, will continue a holiday tradition this year, donating 1,000 frozen turkeys to those in need this holiday season. This is the fourth year in a row the distribution (part of the company’s Vantage Cares program) has taken place.
On Saturday, Dec. 20, Vantage is having 750 turkeys delivered to the Massachusetts Association of Minority Law Enforcement Officers (MAMLEO) in Dorchester and 250 to the West End House in Allston. The organizations will distribute the turkeys to the disadvantaged both at their headquarters and at neighborhoods in the Boston area.
“With events such as our annual turkey donation and our Heroes cruises, where we celebrate those who make this country a better place, the work we do for others is what I am most proud of at Vantage,” said Vantage Deluxe World Travel owner Hank Lewis. “I’m very happy that we can make these holidays a little bit better for 1,000 families this year.”
To date, Vantage has donated 4,500 turkeys to charitable organizations.
