PACING:

●      This adventure is moderately paced.

●      You’ll visit 6 locations in 20 days

●      17 night expedition cruise and a 2-night stay in a hotel at the beginning of your trip

●      Destinations include: Santiago, Valparaíso, Chiloé Island, Puerto Edén, Puerto Natales, Chilean Fjords, Cape Horn and Antarctica.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

●      This is a tour for active travelers.

●      While NOT a physically challenging trip, you will be in the most remote parts of the planet so excellent health is essential for your own personal safety and the rest of the group; travelers with serious health conditions or mobility issues are not suited for this adventure.

●      Landings on the Antarctic Peninsula require heavy walking on natural, uneven terrain, including beaches with sand and rocks, trails up small hills, and ice and snow.

●      There will be expedition boat rides of about 15 minutes each way to reach the shore. Landing crafts hold eight passengers each. Getting in and out of these is safe and relatively easy. However, you must be able to step in and out of them at the ship's boarding platform and at the shore.

●      Shore excursions in Antarctica require walking on uneven terrain. Travelers must also be able to climb in and out of landing boats, and sometimes wade through shallow water.
