After breakfast you’ll transfer to the Angkor complex for a full day of discovery.
Standing before the cruciform terrace of Unesco-listed Angkor Wat, surrounded by a vast moat, flanked by massive colonnades, and topped by iconic spires, you cannot help but be awed by its sheer scale. The magic continues as you enter the site and see the intricate detail of its many shrines and sculptures. Its layout was meant to mimic Mount Meru, the celestial home of Hindu gods. Perhaps you’ll see newly caught fish being smoked, women making baskets from palm fronds, or monks blessing locals as they make their way to a shrine.
