What to Expect
12 destinations in 12 nights including 10 nights aboard the M/Y Variety Voyager
and two 1-night hotel stays. The cruise includes 11 ports of call in addition to the point of embarkation. Some sailing will be conducted during daylight hours.
Cabins aboard the M/Y Variety Voyager
are not the same size as those on Vantage river boats, but are typical of the small ships that cruise in these destinations. Please note that due to the vacuum system and size of the ship, excessive amounts of toilet paper cannot be flushed on board. Each bathroom is also equipped with a convenient receptacle for paper disposal, which will be emptied daily by the cabin crew.
Sightseeing is on air-conditioned coaches with guides, and there are many walking tours through historic city centers. Steps and cobblestones should be expected, as well as occasional steep and/or uneven terrain. Ship and tours are not suitable for wheelchairs or other mobility aids. This British Isles cruise tour is not suitable for passengers with walking difficulties. In some cases along Scottish island ports, it may be necessary to use tenders or Zodiacs. Please refer to Vantage's wheelchair and handicapped traveler policy. Be advised that the M/Y Variety Voyager
does not have an elevator. Please let our Reservations Specialist know when reserving if you require the use of an elevator so that they can work with you to select an alternative tour.
This is an opportunity to experience the highlights of the UK and Ireland, including London, Dublin, and Edinburgh, along with lesser-known ports like Fishguard, Wales; and Iona, Barra, and Stornoway in Scotland. Focus is on the history and culture of these regions, and you’ll enjoy a variety of cuisines, music, and customs while meeting some of the people of the areas you'll visit. Regional lectures and cuisine selections are available on most days.
Important Notice: The day-by-day itineraries are preliminary and therefore subject to change. If changes occur while on tour, you will be notified by your Vantage Tour Director or regional expert.
Port-of-call orientation walking tours are subject to change based on port time, weather conditions, tides, and day of the week (in which case, an alternative port will be visited).
