We went to see the Taj Mahal, but the trip was so much more. The people, the culture, the history made this one of our favorite tours. It was the last one on our bucket list and what a way to end what is now our first bucket list.
India and Nepal were never on my bucket list of places to visit. I knew next to nothing of their history and culture and disliked curry. However, the trip was very interesting and the hotels were comfortable. I found the people friendly and English understood in most circumstances. The Taj Mahal, the fortresses and palaces, the Ganges River, the crematories, the jungle and Mt Everest were everything they were billed to be, The trip was made a real success by our program manager, Ajay. He went out of his way to make our trip easier by changing some scheduled events to better times, filling out forms for us [usually a drudge for travelers] and anticipating our needs while supplying us with needed information. He was the best in a long line of great program managers ["Nacho," Adel, "Magic," etc.]. Hubert L. Dellinger Jr. MD
The India/Nepal adventure was the most incredible cultural experience of any of my many travels. Experiencing the Kumbh Mela Hindu holiday left me speechless. Thoroughly enjoyed India. Nepal was quite disappointing because we did not make the flight to see Mt. Everest which was to be one of the trip's highlights. Perhaps another time.
Seeing the Taj Mahal was fulfilling the dream of a lifetime--so despite, the dirt, the heat, the mass of humanity--it was well worth it! I would highly recommend this trip--and flying by Mount Everest was the icing on the cake! AJ was a great program manager!
Ajay was an excellent program manager and ambassador for his country. The culture for this part of India was fascinating. The Taj Mahal beautiful and what an experience to view. To see the sunset and sunrise on the Ganges was remarkable. How lucky I was to experience this beautiful country.
