DAY 1:

Arrive in Calgary for your Canadian adventure

Arrive in Calgary today to begin your ultimate tour of Canada’s canyon lands and national parks. You’ll be greeted by a Vantage representative, who will assist with the private transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, you’ll explore the Western culture of this unique city on a tour before enjoying a delicious Welcome Dinner at our hotel’s award-winning bistro this evening.

DAY 2:

A freewheeling bobsledding adventure before Jasper National Park

Multigenerational Feature: This morning finds us in Calgary's Olympic Village, site of the 1988 Winter Olympics; channel your inner athlete and race your children and grandchildren during a bobsledding adventure. From here, we head up into the gorgeous Canadian Rockies towards Jasper National Park. As you relax and savor this truly stunning drive through the Icefield Parkway, watch for majestic waterfalls, spectacular rocky peaks, glistening snowfields, and regal wildlife around every turn. We’ll reach our hotel in the heart of Jasper this evening; after settling in, join your fellow travelers for dinner at the hotel.

DAY 3:

Scenic Maligne Lake cruising and a Spirit Island nature walk

After breakfast, experience the stunning Canadian scenery in an unforgettable way as you embark on a scenic cruise on Maligne Lake. Fed by the waters of the glaciers of Jasper National Park, this stunning lake is the perfect place to observe the surrounding scenery and wildlife. As we cruise, you'll enjoy the stories of our onboard tour guide regarding the history of the lake and its earliest explorers, along with the geology, glaciology, flora, and fauna of the area. Our cruise docks at Spirit Island, a world-famous destination on accessible by boat, where we'll disembark and set off on a short nature walk for fantastic photo opportunities. Your afternoon is free to further explore on your own.

DAY 4:

Sightseeing along the majestic Icefields Parkway

Active Feature: Continuing our epic journey today, we’ll travel the legendary Icefields Parkway, the scenic stretch that connects Banff and Jasper national parks. Along the way, soak in views of majestic peaks, ice-blue glaciers, and thick pine forests. You’ll also make a number of stops for sightseeing, including the awe-inspiring Glacier Skywalk and the Columbia Icefield Centre. Unforgettable Moment: This evening, we’ll enter Yoho National Park, where emerald lakes reflect the regal peaks above them and reach our hotel, a delightful lodge perched on the edge of the gorgeous Emerald Lake. With lake-view rooms and a cozy fireplace, you’ll experience this national parks gem in comfort and style. We’ll enjoy dinner in the lodge’s restaurant this evening.

DAY 5:

Exploring Takakkaw Falls before an afternoon free to explore or relax

Active Feature: Following breakfast this morning, we set off on a short walk to the thundering Takakkaw Falls. Tumbling over 1,000 feet of mountainside, these falls are the second highest in Canada and the perfect snapshot of the natural wonders found in Yoho National Park. We'll stop next in town of Field and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel for the balance of an afternoon at leisure. Multigenerational & Active Feature: Take some time to explore the area’s assortment of recreational and sightseeing opportunities, including fly-fishing, kayaking, and wildlife observing, or simply relax and enjoy the rustic elegance of our hotel.

DAY 6:

Discovering the treasures of the Continental Divide

Today we travel the Continental Divide through the picturesque Kicking Horse Pass towards Banff National Park. During our journey, we'll pass the famous Spiral Tunnels, the ingeniously-engineered passages that burrow through the steep Canadian Rockies. We’ll reach Lake Louise, known as the “jewel of the Rockies” for its spectacular sapphire color, in time to enjoy an included lunch at the celebrated Post Hotel. In the afternoon, we’ll traverse the glistening Columbia Icefield, the largest icefield in the Rockies, before arriving in Banff this evening. Our stylish hotel in this quintessential Alpine-style village will give you majestic views of the surrounding valley, a perfect preview of the natural beauty you'll explore tomorrow.

DAY 7:

A mountain gondola ride, then explore Banff National Park on your own

Unforgettable Moment: This morning, you’ll enjoy incredible aerial views of Banff as we embark on a gondola ride up the side of Sulfur Mountain. At the top, step out onto the 360 degree observation deck for jaw-dropping views of the surrounding Rockies. On our way back to the hotel, we’ll drive along Tunnel Mountain Drive for fantastic views of Banff, Cascade Mountain, Mt Rundle and Bow Falls. 

Multigenerational & Active Feature: The rest of the day is yours to explore Banff National Park as you please; embark on a guided nature walk, seize the opportunity for horseback riding or mountain biking, or rent a canoe or kayak and travel the Bow River. Whatever activity calls to you most, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to delve into the rich natural gems of this magnificent park with your family, friends, and favorite travel partners. Tonight, share your Banff adventure tales with fellow travelers during a Farewell Dinner back at the hotel.

Fly to Vancouver and tour the city highlights

After an included breakfast at the hotel this morning, you’ll transfer to Calgary for your flight to Vancouver. Upon arrival, you’ll transfer to your hotel in downtown Vancouver. This afternoon, explore the highlights of this bustling city during a tour. This evening, you’ll enjoy a Welcome Dinner back at the hotel.

DAY 9:

Trekking to the Rockies, and a thrilling ride on the Hell’s Gate Tram

As we leave Vancouver this morning, we’ll drive past popular harborside Stanley Park and stop to admire the incredible views from the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Originally built in 1889 with hemp ropes and cedar planks, today this popular landmark is a unique and thrilling way to admire the beauty of this area. From here, we head into the picturesque Canadian Rockies. Multigenerational Feature: Later, treat your family to more awe-inspiring views as you glide over the raging Fraser River during an adventurous ride on the Hell’s Gate Tram. We’ll also enjoy lunch here before continuing to the old mining town of Quesnal this evening, where we’ll check into our retro-style hotel and enjoy dinner together.

DAY 10:

A scenic train ride in Prince George, then arrive in Jasper

Multigenerational Feature: This morning finds us in Prince George, where we’ll board the VIA Rail for a scenic train adventure that harks back to the golden age of rail travel. Whether you're traveling solo or with the family, you'll find that dome cars allow for incredible sightseeing opportunities; keep your eyes open and cameras ready as elk, moose, bears, and other wildlife graze around you. As we head towards Jasper, watch the scene outside your window change from glistening glaciers to verdant forests to shimmering lakes and back again. We’ll arrive in Jasper, a charming alpine town nestled between snowcapped mountains, just in time for dinner on your own this evening.

DAY 11:

A snow coach ride across Athabasca Glacier

Further enrich your discoveries of this vast stretch as we travel back across soaring mountains and glistening formations of the Icefields Parkway. Along the way, you’ll make a number of stops for sightseeing, including at the picturesque Athabasca Falls, as well as enjoy a picnic lunch. Later, you’ll embark on a special snow coach ride specifically designed to drive over the 900-foot-thick Athabasca Glacier. During this incredible tour, your expert driver-guide will share details of this frozen natural wonder. This evening, we’ll arrive in Kelowna, a Canadian region known for its wine production.

DAY 12:

Return to Vancouver for a panoramic tour, then fly to Victoria

After breakfast, we’ll set off for Vancouver, a bustling seaport with a thriving art and culinary scene, with a stop along the way to enjoy lunch on our own. This afternoon, see more of this energetic metropolis during a city tour before boarding a seaplane for a short but scenic flight to Victoria. Be sure to watch the waters below for whales! Active Feature: We’ll land in style right in beautiful Victoria Harbor, a marina well known for its distinctive architecture, festive street fairs, and rich history. The evening is yours to explore this quaint area or relax in the hotel’s spa.

DAY 13:

Embark on a walking tour of Victoria, with an afternoon free to explore

Join a walking tour of Victoria this morning, where you’ll discover this city’s historic buildings and world-famous gardens. The capital of British Columbia, Victoria enjoys a stunning mix of ocean and mountain vistas. Enjoy the balance of an afternoon at leisure to further explore Victoria’s many shops, restaurants, and museums, or perhaps visit Butchart Gardens, an enchanting year-round floral show that changes with the seasons. Tonight, we’ll regroup to reminisce about favorite moments during a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant.

Spend the afternoon exploring one of Victoria's finest gems — world-renowned Butchart Gardens. Located on Vancouver Island, the Butchart Gardens are a National Historic Site of Canada. Truly a flora lover’s dream come true, this privately owned 55-acre display garden is located just 35 minutes north of downtown. Wander at your leisure through the Sunken Garden, the Japanese and Italian gardens, and the English Rose Garden — all linked by spacious lawns, streams, and lily ponds. Don’t miss a ride on the Rose Carousel; with its 30 hand-carved animals, it's sure to delight children (and adults!).

DAY 14:

Board the high-speed ferry for Seattle, then tour its highlights

Today we head for the energetic city of Seattle, the last leg of our North American adventure. Active Feature: We’ll depart Victoria via The Clipper, a high-speed ferry with multiple viewing decks and amenities, for a relaxing way to take in the sights. Once in Seattle, set off on a city tour, full of fabulous mountain scenery, remarkable history, and striking architecture. Along the way, we'll stop to enjoy incredible city views from one of Seattle’s many cultural gems: the top of the iconic Space Needle. After checking into the hotel this afternoon, your final evening is at leisure to enjoy Seattle on your own.

Return home, or stay in Seattle for your optional extension
