On this special extension, you’ll explore the northern edge of the Rocky Mountains in Montana’s Glacier National Park, a dramatically scenic landscape of pristine forests, alpine meadows, rugged mountains, and spectacular lakes. The highpoint of your visit will be a special “Red Jammer” 1930s touring bus ride over the Going-to-the-Sun Highway, one of the world’s most spectacular roadways. This extension also includes a visit to the fascinating Lewis & Clark Historic Interpretive Center and a city tour of Helena, Montana’s capital. During your visit to Helena, you’ll have time to visit the superb Museum of the Rockies on your own. Then, join the base tour in Bozeman, Montana, continuing to Yellowstone National Park and other spectacular national parks and national monuments as you crisscross the Continental Divide south to Las Vegas.

Today, you’ll depart home for Kalispell. Upon arrival, you will be met by a Vantage representative who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Tonight, attend a Welcome Briefing about your extension.
Explore Glacier National Park and “Red Jammer” experience
Today you’ll have a full-day tour of Glacier National Park, including visits to Lake McDonald, Logan Pass, and an afternoon ride along the scenic Going-to-the-Sun Road in a historic red “Jammer” touring vehicle. Glacier National Park is wild country, and wildlife may be present anywhere along Going-to-the-Sun Road. Mountain goats and bighorn sheep are consistently seen near Logan Pass — keep your cameras ready! Enjoy an evening at leisure, with dinner on your own.

Transfer to Bozeman, with a stop along the way in Helena. Here, you’ll enjoy a panoramic tour of Montana’s capital, including a visit to the State Capitol Building. Lunch is included. After, you’ll continue on to Bozeman, where you’ll join the base program.
