VANTAGE RECOGNIZES THE HEROES AMONG US

When it comes to giving back, Vantage strives to honor the quiet heroes among us whose lives have been dramatically affected by tragedy, loss and war. Their stories of perseverance and resilience are personal journeys, to be sure. But they are also sources of inspiration for all of us.

The Vantage Heroes program, passionately spearheaded by Patricia Lewis, gives back to these everyday people by instilling some inspiration in them. We have introduced them to the great waterways of Europe by arranging for them to travel for free on a Vantage European river cruise, opening their eyes once again to the beauty of the world and the open arms of their fellow global citizens.

Past recipient have included Iraq-Afghanistan war veterans, Gold Star military family members who have lost a loved one, victims and first responders of the Boston Marathon bombings, and the families of fallen firefighters from the Yarnell Hill Fire and the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001. "We are so honored to support the heroes who inspire us," says Lewis, "and we are delighted to provide them with a break from their everyday cares and the chance to discover something new and wonderful about the world."

Help us say "Thank You" the life's everyday heroes. If you know someone who has risen above in times of challenge, you can nominate them for a special Vantage Heroes journey.
